The Coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) has emerged as a potential global health threat. Unfortunately, there are very limited approved therapeutics available with established efficacy and safety profiles against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. There is still a vast amount of testing being carried out in areas of essential oils and their role in supporting elimination of the virus – this is only in tandem with the mainstream medical practices that are at the fore of our medial systems.
One area that has seen a significant rise in the use of essential oils is in the area of stress management. We have become far more aware of how to manage our stress factors, ailments and related alternative therapies via natural products especially using essential oils in the workplace or homes, during lockdowns, and restricted movements. This awareness continues to grow.
Our focus for the use of essential oils has been in hospital settings for staff stress management in ICU’s and wellbeing hubs. Mitigating the high levels of stress for staff and their patients has both been used as an effective go-to with essential oils and related uses, and as a sub-benefactor is their ability to support patients that are/have been in critical conditions in clinical settings. To find out more on this area, please contact us – we will be happy to provide case study information and advice on how to implement wellbeing support services directly related to coronavirus in your clinical setting.
