Origins

There are over 50 species of the plant. A pungent, earthy aroma the leaves of the grass both fresh and part-dried are used to make the oil which is extracted by steam distillation. Lemongrass is mostly grown in Asia, the West Indies and East India

A blend for a pulse point perfume 1 drop of Lemongrass 1 drop of Geranium In a little dish mix the oils and anoint your pulse points, dilute with a few drops of carrier oil ďż˝ and always remember to patch test first.

Tradition

Lemongrass is drunk as a tea in many countries and an infusion is made by pouring boiling water on fresh or dried leaves and is one of the most widely used traditional plants in South American folk medicine. In Chinese medicine, lemongrass is used in the treatment of headaches, stomach aches, abdominal pain and rheumatic pain. It is an important part of Southeast Asian cuisine, especially as flavouring in Thai food. A lovely refreshing, cooling an uplifting scent.
